Where To Eat in CDO: Sweet Leaf Bubble Tea and Cafe

Cagayan de Oro, 9000 Misamis Oriental, Philippines

Alright ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you something about how eager I am to blog about this pretty little place. Sweet Leaf Bubble Tea Cafe has been sort-of my home during long breaks. I have been hanging out in this place for so long but I always forget to include it in my tea adventures. Not until they recently opened up a new branch across my former school that I finally had the chance to pack up my camera and murdered the entire place with shutter clicks!

Art and Tea

Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, Philippines

For day two of our ultimate Bukidnon adventure, we decided to pay this newly opened tea shop a visit. Since me and my girl friends are big fans of milk tea and pretty decorations, this place was another item added to our list of "favorite places to have tea"

The Great Bukidnon Adventure

Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, Philippines
Before I say anything else, let me just stress this: It's good to be back! Not that I don't like travelling and sleeping in a different bed, it's just that nothing compares to the comfort of home. Forgive me if I have been gone for three whole days. I have been out and about, rediscovering the places I used to take for granted when I was a kid. You see, I have visited Malaybalay, Bukidnon before and I never really appreciated it until I went on a three-day trip with my high school girl friends.

Rediscovering Home

Balingasag, Misamis Oriental, Philippines

One of the reasons why I love Sunday so much is the fact that I can do whatever the heck I want out of it; just like taking a short trip out of town to go visit my lola's place. Balingasag, Misamis Oriental has been my second home for the past nineteen years. I think half of my childhood years (if you add up all the times we visited) was spent in this place. It's my mother's hometown and most of my close relatives are residing there.

A Date With Mother Nature

040911 - A few weeks after me and my high school friends moved on from another chapter of our lives, we went out on a little road trip. It was sponsored by one of our high school friend who was set to leave for Manila to continue his studies. So it was sort-of his despedida and advance birthday celebration.

Life is a Beach

Initao, Misamis Oriental, Philippines
You know how I've been talking about summer ending so soon without a little kick-off party? Well this is finally it! My high school friends and I were planning for one last get-together before classes start. The first plan wasn't that successful. It's pretty frustrating to plan with ten or twenty people. Sometimes they won't agree to your suggestions and sometimes they get into your nerves and push you to pull yourself away from the situation. But then an unexpected plan B popped up and we all gleefully pitched in.

The Lantapan Experience

Lantapan, Bukidnon, Philippines
020813 - One of the best things (that used to suck for me before it all happened) about my course is the chance to immerse myself with different cultures. I had just that when I joined my first immersion in Lantapan, Bukidnon last February 8, together with the rest of the first year Development Communication peeps.
