The Staycation

This post is a tad bit overdue. Our internet connection at home is pretty messed up. Right now, I am trying to make the most out of the sluggish connection just to update this blog.

I spent my Monday night and the entire Tuesday feeling like a tourist in my own city. I didn’t exactly went to rediscover some places of my city (though I wish I did) but I just de-stressed in a resort like most tourists do. My mother attended this certain conference and hotel accommodation was included when she registered. She was supposed to share a room with three of her friends who were also attending the conference but they lived near the venue, so they decided to let us stay in their room.

My favorite part of the entire stay-cation was waking up to a beautiful Tuesday morning. I woke up early just to witness the sky being painted beautifully by our Creator. It was one of those rare mornings when you realize how small your worries are.

I mean, sure there are moments when you wish you didn’t exist; when you feel like there’s nothing worth living for anymore but what you fail to realize is that this life is so beautiful. There’s still so many things you need to experience. What you might be worrying now won’t even matter in the next few months or years. If today you are feeling a little under the weather, always know that you are stronger than you think you are.

I hope there’ll be more of rare beautiful mornings, stay-cations or vacations :D So how is your summer vacation so far, folks?
