Floral patterns, pink shelves, cakes and cupcakes of all sorts – The Sweet House Pastry School and Cafe must be paradise for anyone who loves sweet and colorful things!
Last Monday, I had the chance to visit the pretty place with The Chubby Buddy, James Tubeo, and Kristille. It was the grand opening of the pastry school and their cafe. The moment I stepped in their cafe, lovely floral patterns greeted me. I can't stop myself from saying, "This is such a beautiful place" over and over again. I'm a sucker for anything floral and the cafe has loads of them.

Since it was their grand opening, selected people were invited to try some of their pastries in their kitchen. Thank heavens for an amazing food and blogger buddy like James! :D I had the chance to try a few of their too-pretty-to-eat cakes.
When I saw the Strawberry Shortcake with colorful French Macarons, I made sure to get a slice of it. Strawberry-flavored cakes is one of my guilty pleasures, and Sweet House's Strawberry Shortcake is divine! The happy and warm feeling I felt when I ate a slice of it, is similar to the time when I met my best friend. And I intend to feel that way again. That's why I'm hoping they'd offer it in their cafe soon so I'll have more reasons to frequent the place.
The colorful French Macarons do not disappoint too. Although the shells cracked when I took a bite of it, it was still superb. My favorite was the green pistacio-flavored macaron and it was indeed heavenly!
Trying out different kinds of cakes in a pretty room with all sorts of floral patterns everywhere – that night definitely made me feel like I was Kirsten Dunst in her movie Marie Antoinette.
The Sweet House Pastry School and Cafe isn't just a school for anyone who has the passion in baking, and a cafe for anyone who loves to hang out in a lovely place. They also sell baking ingredients, party goods, and decorations for your baking creations. It's a one-stop shop for people who love anything related to baking! After this semester ends, I'll definitely continue my baking dreams there. I'll give myself the time to practice my rusty baking skills haha!
Want to learn how to bake? Or do you just want to hang out in a pretty place, sipping tea and eating cake? I'd be happy to do both with you! :D The Sweet House Pastry School and Cafe is conveniently located in J.R Borja - Tiano Streets (fronting Maybank), Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.
More details about the pretty place in James' blog! :)
