Coffee and Teddy Bears at Picasso Coffee

I blogged about asking for your suggestions on places to go in Cebu a month ago and one of chocominteu’s suggestion was Picasso Coffee. The universe was on my side again because a good friend of mine, James of The Chubby Buddy.com, was also in the city and we decided to meet in the said cafe.

It was my first time to commute on my own from the new pad to the cafe. Imagine how anxious I was! I didn’t have anyone to vent out my feelings of anxiety or to ask if we’ve took the right route. I could remember where the place was located but I didn’t know what route to take and jeepney to ride. So I kept texting my brother and good thing he replied speedily.
I followed his instructions and managed to arrive in the cafe without getting lost. When I arrived, I didn’t know where the main entrance of the cafe was. I saw this wooden door and just pushed it open. A lady then greeted me and told me that the cafe is upstairs. I walked up and James was already in the cafe. He ordered a cup of coffee while I tried their ham and cheese sandwich, which I think was not worth its price. The sandwiches were too thin and there wasn’t enough filling. I guess that’s one of the things they can look into for improvement.
The place was spacious and clean. I like to think that they painted most of their walls white because they wanted the murals to stand out. The black, white, and red dividers (not sure what to call them lol) were cool too. Also, the glass windows were perfect. It lets natural light come in which is perfect for Instagrammers.
Just like other Korean cafes, they have double-decked spaces for their guests which can accommodate around 5 to 6 persons. I think the perfect time to hang out in the place is during the night time. You can choose to dine inside the cafe or outside in their balcony area where you can see the busy streets of Escario and Gorordo.
Picasso Coffee is located in 375 Gorordo corner N. Escario St. Its a few blocks away from Ayala Center Cebu. If you need a long time to have a heart-to-heart talk with your friends or with someone special, they’re open from 9AM to 3AM.
