5 Places I Wish I Could Teleport To

Getting the urge to pack up your bags and book a ticket to anywhere but not being able to do that because of responsibilities you need to attend to (and not to mention funds you need to check lol) is probably one of the most frustrating feelings in the world. Plus, preparing for a trip isn't as easy as pinpointing a place on a world map, blindfolded. Not when you've got tons of things to consider like money, visas, and hotel bookings.

Trust me, I totally understand how bad it feels because...well, I'm feeling it right now haha. I wish there was an instant way to be in another place right now. But since that's not possible for like the next 20 years, I'll just settle on writing lists and looking at photos of places I really wish I could visit at this moment.

Here are five of them:

Positano, Italy

I don't know about you guys but I think Italy never runs out of places that will mesmerize you with its charm. Positano, a lovely village on a cliff, is located on the southern part of Amalfi coast (source). When I first saw photos of the village on Instagram, I got interested in how people managed to build a community in such area. I mean, c'mon! A village on a cliff? WHAT?

When I saw Mimi and Alex Ikonn's Positano travel videos, I felt my heart aching and found myself sighing at how beautiful everything was. The narrow streets, the sidewalk cafes, the fresh fruits being sold almost everywhere, the crystal clear blue waters — just enumerating these things makes me fall further in love with Positano. All these things makes it one of the world's top holiday destinations. People flock the place whatever time of the year it may be, which is why visiting it is expensive. Selling human body parts won't probably be enough to fund the trip hahaha!

Cape Town, South Africa

I've heard about Cape Town's Table Mountain months ago but didn't paid much attention to the other interesting things that the place has to offer. Until I saw a video by Marianna Hewitt, a famous fashion vlogger & blogger, on YouTube a few months ago about her trip to the city with her dad. She had clips of penguins hanging out in Boulders Beach. PENGUINS!!! That fact alone made me wish I could crawl through the computer screen and be in Cape Town that instant (imagine how creepy and cool that would be).

Aside from penguin sighting, Cape Town has lovely wineries where you can spend an afternoon trying them out. Going up to the Table Mountain is also something I'm dying to try in the future. There are nearby towns that are oozing with so much charm. I love the one that Marianna and her dad visited. If I'm not mistaken, it was the Bo-Kaap area. The streets are lined up with houses and shops in many different pastel colors. It was such a delight watching Marianna's clips of the place.

Bali, Indonesia

Bali is home to so many gorgeous Hindu temples and world-class beaches, which is why this place is easily on the top five of my list. They have a temple on the side of a cliff (Uluwatu Temple) and one on a rock formation (Tanah Lot Temple)! If that doesn't blow your mind away, I don't know what will haha. There are other temples in different parts of Bali such as the Besakih Temple in Karangasem, Goa Gajah in Ubud, and Ulun Danu Beratan in Bedugul (source).

Aside from Temples, Bali also boasts amazing beaches such as Kuta Beach and Seminyak Beach. There are different hotels and resorts that has beautifully designed villas to accommodate you and satisfy your hunger for creativity and design. Many restaurants and hotels also offer cooking classes where you can try preparing traditional Balinese dishes.

I could go on and on, talking about all the cool things you can try when you plan to visit Bali but I think it's best to check out their website for a more detailed guide ;)

Vietnam

Since we're already talking about temples, another country that has intricately designed Buddhist temples is Vietnam. If teleportation was possible, I'd probably go to Hanoi first and then to Ho Chi Minh (formerly known as Saigon).

Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and is sort-of the entry point if you want to experience cruising through Ha Long Bay. It's actually one of my dream trip and I hope I'd be able to achieve it before I turn 25. Who in their right minds wouldn't want to ride a boat through emerald green waters and seeing limestone rocks towering over you? It's declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for a reason ;)

Vietnam has incredible temples such as Temple of Literature, Mariamman Hindu Temple, and Chua Tran Quoc to name a few. If you plan to visit this country soon, don't pass up the opportunity to see the Cu Chi Tunnels. The tunnels were made as a hideout during the Vietnam war. Oh and your trip to Vietnam wouldn't be complete without experiencing their popular Phon Dien Floating Market!

Siargao Island

I've visited Siargao Island last April and three days was definitely not enough to take in the magnificence of the place. The laid back vibe of the place is something I will always miss. Right now, I wish I could cover my feet with the powdery white sand of General Luna and its surrounding islands namely Guyam, Naked, and Daku.

Siargao is a different island from Surigao. This is usually the mistake that some people make. Surigao City is the mainland and Siargao is about 3 hours away from the city and can be visited via ferry. Not only does Siargao Island have gorgeous white beaches and cool waves  that you can ride all day if you wish  it has hip hostels where you can meet backpackers from different parts of the world who call the island their home.

After writing about and reading through all these breathtaking places, my wanderer heart is aching lol. If money wasn't an issue and if teleportation already existed, I'd be lounging on a beach chair in Kuta Beach, sipping a mimosa right now! Haha a girl can dream.

What about you guys? What are places you wish you could travel to at this moment? Leave them all down in the comments section! :)

P.S this post isn't sponsored. All the stuff I said here are my views and opinions. Also, big thanks to Pixabay for the photos of Positano, Cape Town, and Bali. Thanks Unsplash for the Vietnam and cover photo ;)
