Book Craze Inside MV Logos Hope
There are a few more posts left and I’ll finally be done with my Cebu backlogs. And every time I try to recall all the fun I had makes me miss it. Take me back to that stressful but fun summer please!
Anyway, during my friends and I’s six-week stay, the MV Logos Hope was also in Cebu City for one month. It is the largest floating bookstore in the world. According to what I’ve read in the internet, it is operated by the German Christian charitable organization GBA Ships. Christian and some classic books are being displayed and sold inside the ship.
There is also a visual presentation called The Journey of Life which is based on the story of The Prodigal Son. The ship also has a kid’s corner where children play toys and sing songs as taught by a volunteer. Their International Cafe serves different kinds of cuisine.
We weren’t able to buy any books (hashtag money problems haha) but it was still a good experience to be able to see what was inside MV Logos Hope. Since their stay is time-bounded and they’ll be travelling off to a different part of the country, at least we had the chance to visit it.
If you want to check out where the MV Logos Hope will dock next, here’s a schedule of their route.
